Spirit (Character) Study

In scripture, spirit is often synonymous with character because spirits influence character. The spirit is the root the character is the fruit. Through scripture, we are given descriptions of the attributes of God, that we might recognize his character and also the characteristics that oppose it.  In our “Names of God” series, we looked at these attributes that help us to recognize the character of God. In this series, we look at the other side of the spectrum to see those who were influenced by evil spirits in the scriptures and the characteristics they manifested that we might recognize it, not be deceived by it, tempted to come into agreement with it, or be influenced by it ourselves; and if we see that we have, repent of it.
